Our guarantee
The stone, for life
Moissanite does not cloud, fade or lose its fire. The colour and brilliance belong to the crystal itself, not to a coating, so there is nothing to wear off. We guarantee that for as long as you own the piece.
What it covers
What does the guarantee cover?
The moissanite stones in your piece. If a stone loses its brilliance or fire, or its colour changes, we will replace the piece with the same design. If that design is no longer made, we will replace it with one of equal value, or refund what you paid.
How long does it last?
For as long as you own the piece. It covers the original buyer and, if the piece was a gift, the person who received it.
Do I need to register?
No. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to pay. Keep your order confirmation email. That is your proof of purchase.
What it does not cover
What is not covered?
- The setting and metal: prongs, bands, clasps, chains and links.
- Plating, which wears gradually on any plated piece.
- Chips, cracks or scratches from knocks, drops or everyday wear.
- Stones that come loose and are lost, and pieces that are lost or stolen.
- Pieces that have been resized, repaired, re-plated or altered by anyone other than us.
Why is the setting not covered?
Because we would rather promise only what the material can keep. The stone is the part that lasts a lifetime. Our settings are 925 sterling silver, and the gold and rhodium finishes are a thin plated layer over that silver. With skin, water and lotion, plating on any piece wears over time, and we will not pretend otherwise.
A piece that arrives faulty is a different matter. That is covered by our returns policy: contact us as soon as it arrives and we will make it right.
Making a claim
How do I make a claim?
Email hello@tirzah.store with your order number and a few clear photographs of the stone in daylight. We aim to reply within two business days. If we need to see the piece, we will tell you where to send it.
Who pays for shipping?
You pay to send the piece to us, tracked and insured. We pay to send the replacement back to you.
Keeping it bright
How do I keep the stone looking its best?
Warm water, mild soap, a soft brush. Rinse and let it dry. What dulls moissanite is a film of soap, lotion and skin oil on the facets, and that washes away. A dull stone is almost always a dirty one.
How do I make the plating last?
Put the piece on last and take it off first: after lotion, perfume and hairspray, and before swimming, showering, the gym and sleep. Store it on its own, away from other jewelry, so harder pieces cannot rub against it. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth after wearing.
The fine print
Anything else I should know?
This guarantee applies to pieces bought from tirzah.store. It is in addition to your rights under consumer law, not instead of them. If we update these terms, the version in place when you bought your piece is the one that applies to it.
